For the second year in a row, Princeton Air will be taking part in the Trenton Workforce Development Initiative's summer Youth Employment Program. They took part in the inaugural year last year and it was a great success. This program is a collaborative effort between the city of Trenton, Mayor Eric Jackson, former Mayor Douglas Palmer, MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce president Robert Prunetti, Millhill Child & Family Development and Trenton Area Stakeholders. It is designed to help put 200 city youth from ages 16 to 24 to work this summer and give them practical experience. While the candidate will be at Princeton Air, they will obtain valuable work experience and job skills that they otherwise might not have access to. This gives them a head start into the “real world” and prepares them for the future.
Scott Needham, who is the President of Princeton Air and also an advisory board member on the Trenton Workforce Development Initiative, says, “It is a great feeling to be able to participate in such a worthwhile program. Any time we can invite young people to experience the great feeling of meaningful work and then allow them to grow as a person; we want to be a part of that experience. And who knows, the experience may compel them to choose a career in our amazing industry.“
