Are allergens lurking in your home’s air?
Find out with IAQ testing from Princeton Air. 609-799-3434
Your indoor living spaces may seem like a refuge from outdoor allergens and pollutants, but did you know that inside air can be two to five times more contaminated than outside air? To help protect the health of you and your family, it’s important to start thinking about your home’s indoor air quality (IAQ).
Princeton Air offers indoor air quality testing with AirAdvice™ technology to help Central Jersey homeowners uncover hidden indoor contaminants. Plus, as home health experts, we can also recommend and complete smart upgrades to help you improve your IAQ.
Why Is Indoor Air Quality Important?
Indoor air quality has a greater influence on your health than you might think. Many homes here in Central Jersey contain unseen pollutants which trigger allergy and asthma like symptoms such as scratchy throat, nasal irritation, fatigue, headaches, and nausea. Living rooms, for example, often contain unsafe levels of pet dander, carbon monoxide, and volatile organic compound’s (VOCs) from furnishings, while bathrooms tend to see high levels of mold, mildew, bacteria, and viruses. Particulates like pollen, dust mites, and smoke may be floating around as well.
When these pollutants have no path out of the home and are left to re-circulate in the air you breath via the heating and air conditioning systems, your home can become an unhealthy living environment. Indoor air quality testing can help you understand what’s lurking in your indoor air and pinpoint effective solutions for a healthier home.
Diagnose Your Indoor Air with AirAdvice™
Using advanced AirAdvice technology, the team at Princeton Air can pinpoint IAQ issues that are harming your family’s comfort, health, and safety — and make targeted recommendations to resolve those issues. We’ll start by installing an AirAdvice monitor that samples your indoor air continuously and measures air quality according to six parameters:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Carbon dioxide (CO2)
- Particulates (such as dust and pollen)
- VOCs
- Carbon monoxide (CO)
Once enough data has been collected, we will return to your home to retrieve the AirAdvice home air quality test kit and present you with a comprehensive IAQ report. In addition to outlining issues that are threatening your home’s comfort, health, and safety, we will recommend personalized solutions to help you make your home healthier.
We might, for example, recommend upgrading your ventilation system and installing air purification for better protection against allergens and chemical pollutants. If your home has excess indoor humidity, we’ll recommend installing a whole home dehumidifier. If dust and mold are an issue, we may recommend duct cleaning.
